Shielded RF test boxes are essential for testing the radio interfaces of wireless devices because they provide a test environment that is free from interference and other unwanted emissions. The shielded box has been added to the company’s TS712x family and offers shielding in excess of 80dB at 6GHz. Its frequency range from 300MHz to 6GHz means it is suitable for a variety of wireless communications applications, such as detecting production errors in mobile devices or antenna pattern errors, performing end-to-end tests on WLAN routers, or testing radar sensors in automobiles.
The box can be installed in a 19inch rack. The interior dimensions are 300 x 334 x 480mm, sufficient for testing even large devices. The box can also be equipped with an antenna ring for the placement of multiple antennae. Users can create their own radiation patterns and measure the radiated power for selected orientations. Optionally available Vivaldi antennae ensure reliable and reproducible measurements.

Its robust design permits more than a million open and close cycles without any impact on the shielding effectiveness.
